((A droubble, which I am only posting because I got a chance to flaunt an awesome B5 quote in a totally appropriate situation.

...*dorksign*))There were no more details left to be checked, no last-minute changes to arrange. Options had been discussed, half-certain decisions made, and the plan was complete, as well as it could be. The five of them would bravely succeed or they would bravely fall. There was little room in between. Euridice finished pouring for everyone. “Alright… I’m terrible at these things, but if anyone wants to add on to it, be my guest.” She raised her glass; the others followed suit. “To good friends, good fortune, and uncertain death.” Eyeing her four companions, seated around the long table of the inn, she smirked faintly. “Anyone else?” Hound chuckled. “Let’s get the bastard.” Kiri spoke quietly, in the words of an old prayer. “May gods stand between us and harm in all the empty places where we must walk.” The words settled between them for a moment. Euridice wondered if it was possible that the days until she was again a free woman were now numbered. But hope was a great deceiver; in the end, all that they could do was make themselves ready and see how the cards fell. As one, they downed their drinks. There was no turning back.
